Ludic is a proposed archive for iconic games particularly video games. Ludic means playful. Derived from the Latin word Ludus which means to play. Ludicrous is also derived from the same source.
The concept of Ludic is a “world” the user enters in order to access the archive. Just like playing a game means immersing yourself in a different reality, Ludic tries to immerse the user into a different, fun, ”ludicrous” world.

Typography and Colors
The primary colors are kept simple, where the text is a dark purple to match the general color scheme of the map. A bright yellow and green are used for buttons and other small elements such as the side bar.

Since the entries in the archive are quite text heavy, the font for the body is Corporative, a semi serif that adds an editorial touch to the design. Cocogoose has minimal use as the main headings to add a fun touch to the typogaphy without making it too distracting.

Website
Homepage Navigation
The homepage is an interactive map that displays all the entires in the archive as “sections”. The sections have different colors and display an enlarged animation with sound when hovered on. Each section has small illustrations related to it as well as many “easter eggs” that gamers can find as an added feature throughout the map.
